Landlord Technology Assistance Program (LTAP)

NNLA is pleased to introduce a new service for landlords in the North Bay area who do not have technology or are in need of assistance with technology to interact with the Landlord Tenant Board.

The need for technology has never been more important; the province has shut down or limited access to Service Ontario, all notices and applications are found only on line, as well, all tribunal hearings are virtual (and phone call). If a landlord is not technology savvy, the landlord would certainly have challenges in today’s climate dealing with the Landlord and Tenant Board.

NNLA created the LTAP services to assist landlords who need assistance to navigate technology, to assist in typing, print, email, and e-file applications.

LTAP volunteers will NOT provide legal advice.

LTAP services are available by appointment ONLY. To reserve your appointment, click on the calendar below to pick your appointment date or call 705-845-5748.

Members $30 per hour

Non-members $50 per hour

Please note: Additional $0.50 per print paper is charged.

Disclaimer:

Thank you for using the “LTAP” services,(Landlord Technology Assistance Program)

The LTAP services were created to offer landlords assistance and support with providing technology to fulfill the duties a landlord requires.

The support includes the following

  1. To complete simple Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB) forms like notices n1, n4, n5, etc.; applications like l1, l9, etc.; emails inquiries to the LTB; and send your evidence for a hearing like documents, pictures, etc. NNLA strongly suggests landlords with more complicated applications should be completed by a person with a legal license.

  2. To access important websites for landlords, i.e., LTB, Residential Tenancies Act (RTA), Human Rights, Occupiers Liability Act, and more.

  3. To facilitate virtual LTB Tribunal hearings.

In order to use the LTAP service, it is understood that the LTAP services are in its entirety delivered by volunteers, not legal professionals. although all efforts to make sure information provided is accurate, LTAP, NNLA and its volunteers do not and will not provide legal advice. LTAP volunteers can refuse to aid a landlord if the landlord needs professional legal advice.
